Coronavirus Update – Events

As a precaution to minimise public gathering and the number of visitors to the Academy, we have cancelled all events outside of lesson time until the Easter break in the first instance.

This includes: Year 11 Parents’ Consultation Evening on 2nd April, PACT Quiz on 27th March, and the New Intake helpdesk event on 30th March.

Whilst this might be disappointing news, the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and the community continues to be our priority.

We will still upload your Year 11 child’s Interim Reports to the Insight ParentPortal on 2nd April, so you will be able to see all their latest mock results and predicted grades. We will also continue to keep you informed by email or telephone if any particular issues or concerns arise.

We understand that your child may be anxious about the impact of COVID-19 on their examinations. The Academy remains open and we are continuing to prepare students in the usual way. There has been no indication of any changes to the summer examination season, so students should expect this to go ahead as normal. If the situation changes, which is up to the Department for Education, we will keep you informed. Staff have already started contingency planning to ensure the best possible provision for all students in any circumstances.
