Changes to the Academy Day from Monday 28th September 2020

We are delighted to be able to make some adjustments to further improve the smooth running of the Academy day following feedback from students, parents/carers, and staff. These changes do not relax any restrictions, and students will remain in their bubbles. However, we hope that these changes will allow us to manage the situation even better.

Students are reminded that the wearing of a suitable face covering is compulsory when moving around the Academy; they may be removed only when in a lesson, outdoors, or in the Quisine. Students are also reminded to ensure that they carry a small bottle of hand sanitiser to use before and after putting on or removing their face covering, after touching any surface in a communal space, and after coughing or sneezing.

Parents/carers, please remember that students must only arrive to the Academy at their identified arrival time (no earlier and no later) where possible, and once dismissed they must move away from the Academy as quickly as possible, this helps to respect the student bubbles and avoid mixing or congestion. We also remind parents/carers that the drop-off zone should be used as such, students may be dropped off, but the driver must remain in the vehicle with their window closed, and vacate the space as soon as the student has got out of the vehicle. No vehicle should be stationary in the drop-off zone for longer than two minutes, nor may any vehicle enter the Academy site or block the vehicle entrance gate.

Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) must continue to enter through the main entrance and then assemble on the playground.

Key Stages 4 and 5 (Years 10-13) must continue to enter through the north entrance and assemble on the MUGA.

The Academy day will look different for each Year Group/bubble, and can be seen below.
