The week commencing Monday 5th February 2024 is Children’s Mental Health Week, and we’re delighted to share with you a range of events for parents/carers to best support their child(ren)’s mental health and wellbeing.

Vaccination UK has been instructed by NHSE to administer the MMR vaccination to children who are outstanding one or both doses. The MMR would have been given at the age of 1 year, and the second dose at 3 years and 4 months. There has been an outbreak of Measles in the West Midlands which have been on the rise within the last few weeks. If your child is outstanding one or both doses of the MMR, please make an appointment at one of their clinics by calling 0121 592 1110. 

Following our previous post regarding our partnership with Reflexions to provide mental health support for young people through parents/carers, the following coffee morning workshops will be taking place at the Academy. We have updated our Positive Behaviour Policy and these changes will be implemented at the start of the Spring term, January 2024.

Thank you to all parents and carers that responded to the behaviour consultation in the Autumn term. We also greatly appreciate those parents/carers that volunteered their time to come and discuss our proposals face to face in the Academy.
