Parent & Carer Letter – Parent Consultation Day, Years 8, 11 & 13

I would like to invite parents and carers of students in Years 8, 11, and 13 to a Parents’ Consultation Evening on Tuesday 14^th November 2017.

In addition to the meetings the following activities and information will be available:

Presentations by Core Curriculum Leaders (English, mathematics, and science) and the Examinations Officer
At 6pm a brief presentation will take place in the Lecture Theatre based on how to support your child prepare for their GCSE in the three core subject areas, and to explain the changes to examination papers and reformed grades.

Purchasing of key revision books
All the recommended revision books will be available to purchase and take away at discounted prices. Prices start from £2.50. If your child is eligible for ‘Free School Meals’ some books will be provided at no cost to the parents. Cash purchases only.

Year 11 and 13 Examination Calendars
These will be printed and able to collect on the day to support revision planning.

Year 11 Mock Examination Results
Year 11 students will be provided with the results from their recent mock examinations with the required information for Sixth Form applications.
