Parent Committee
Parent and Academy Contact Team.
The Parents and Academy Contact Team have an agreement to work together as a team, under the banner headline of Contact Counts.
WHAT ARE OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES?
- To act as a gateway between the parents and the Academy.
- To provide a link from the parents/carers in to the Governing Body.
- To raise funds for the Academy.
- To support the students at the Academy.
- To provide support at Academy events.
WHEN DO WE MEET?
The first Monday of every month, during Academy terms at 6.30pm, in the conference room.

Q3 Parent Committee Roles
All the parents/carers and extended family members of students, as well as all staff who attend Q3 Academy.
Chair Person
The Chairperson of the Q3 Parent Committee has the following elements to his/her remit as follows:
• Assisting with the managerial direction of the Committee
• Planning and running meetings
• Acting as spokesperson/figurehead
• Liaising with the Associate Vice Principal regarding meetings and agendas
• Delegation of jobs/tasks
Vice Chair Person to second in the absence of the Chair and to support the Chair in these duties.
Secretary
The Secretary's main responsibilities are:
• Supporting the administration of the Committee; minutes, confirming meetings, circulating e-mails/correspondence
• Facilitating and supporting Committee meetings
The Treasurer
The Treasurer also has three main areas of responsibility:
• Keeping an overview of the finances of the Committee
• Reporting into Committee meetings
• Making sure the Committee has the right financial policies and procedures in place
• Ensuring payments are made promptly when required
• Overseeing the bank account in conjunction with the Associate Vice Principal

Please support our campaign to raise funds through old mobile phones. If you have an old mobile which is no longer needed, then please send it in to the Academy. Money raised will go towards funding events for our students. All the phones are recycled to support numerous registered charities throughout the world.
