A Message from our CEO

I hope that you managed some well-deserved and restful time off over the Easter break. I would like to thank all of you for the continued support you have given to each other, and to Q3 Academies, as we have settled back in to Academy life.

The hard work and dedication of our students, during these uncertain and difficult times, has been admirable and has been recognised by me, our Heads of School, Trustees, and our Local Governing Bodies.

As you will be aware, we have seen a decrease in COVID-19 rates across the nation and, encouragingly, some of the lockdown restrictions were eased on Monday 12th April. Heads of School are continuing to navigate what makes the most sense for your individual Academy context in terms of the COVID-19 Risk Assessments and will continue to update you as necessary.

As always, please remain vigilant and stringent in following the government guidelines for social distancing measures to ensure we keep ourselves and each other safe.

Proposed Merger between Q3 Academies Trust and The Mercian Trust

We are now part-way through the consultation period for the proposed merger between Q3 Academies Trust and The Mercian Trust. Thank you to our parents/carers who have already taken part by submitting questions on the online portal. If you wish to take part in the consultation or would like to know further information, you can do so by accessing it here.

Virtual parent/carer and community consultation meetings have been arranged and there will be two opportunities for you to attend as part of the consultation process.

Consultation Meeting 1 on Wednesday 5th May at 6pm, click here to access this video meeting.

Consultation Meeting 2 on Thursday 6th May at 12:30pm, click here to access this video meeting.

Both Daniel Parkes (Chief Executive for The Mercian Trust) and I, encourage all parents/carers to attend one of the meetings as an opportunity to hear more about the proposed merger and to ask any questions that you may have.

Thank you once again for your continued efforts and the support for your Academy, it is much appreciated.

Please stay safe and remain COVID-19 compliant.

Best wishes,

Mr Andrew Martin
Chief Executive
