Consultation on Admission Arrangements for the Academic Year 2026/27

I am writing to notify you of the consultation on the Academy’s 2026/2027 Admissions Policy. The consultation period will run from 1st October 2024 to 19th November 2024 allowing for a 6-week consecutive consultation period during this time (excluding half term from 28th October to 1st November 2024), parents/carers and other key stakeholders are invited to express their views and any concerns about the admission arrangements at Q3 Academy Great Barr.

In accordance with the DfE’s statutory Admissions Code guidance, as an Academy we must consult on our admission arrangements when changes are proposed, and at least once every seven years. For this reason, a consultation is currently being held to meet the Academy’s statutory duty. However, it should be noted that no changes to the current admission arrangements have been proposed.

A full version of the proposed policy is available to view on the policies page of our website.

In accordance with statutory DfE guidance, the consultation will run for at least six weeks and, as an interested party at Q3 Academy Great Barr, we are keen to hear your views on the current admission arrangements. Therefore, we invite you to participate in the consultation if you have any concerns regarding the matter.

All responses to the consultation should be made in writing and submitted before 5pm on 19th November 2024 to:

Q3 Academy Great Barr,
Wilderness Lane,
Great Barr,
Birmingham
B43 7SD

or by email here.

Please note that responses should outline your personal details, including your name, address, and relationship to the Academy.

At the end of the consultation period, the Local Governing Board will meet to consider responses and agree the final Policy to be approved. If you wish to further discuss this matter, or anything mentioned in this notice, please contact the Academy on 0121 358 6186 or by email here.
