Q3 Academy would like to invite all parents and carers of children who start their journey with the Academy in September to our New Intake evening on Wednesday 6th May. We anticipate the meeting to take approximately one hour, after which there will be an opportunity to ask questions and to meet members of the Q3 Team.
Sixth Form students, staff and invited guests from Education and Business were treated to a live violin concert by Violinist Craig Owen just before the Easter Break, as part of the annual Sponsors Dinner. Students were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to network with CEOs from major organisations within the West Midlands and surrounding areas whilst enjoying a three course meal and a wonderful live concert.
Competing against some tough schools who were very experienced having taken part several times previously, Q3 Academy outshone on the day.
Our defence won the first case as our defendant was found not guilty. We scored higher than the winner from the previous 3 years, which was a massive achievement for our students.
We’re aware of the “Blue vs Red War” trend circulating online and want to reassure families, following on from our initial communication in our newsletter, that we are monitoring the situation closely and working with police.
We ask that users do not repost or engage with any social media posts inciting anti-social behaviour, but report the post through the platform’s reporting tools. Guidance in how to report this can be found on the Police.UK website.
We’re taking proactive steps to keep students safe, including revisiting online safety in Tutor Time and assemblies, offering targeted pastoral support, and increasing staff support on entry/exits to the Academy. We’re also strengthening our site security, with ongoing improvements to our main entrance and gated access points happening as we speak.
We will update parents and carers if any new information becomes available.
Thank you for your continued support and vigilance in helping keep our community safe!
