Each year we put a system in place to ensure that all lockers are cleared out before the end of the academic year.
To ensure this is completed as smoothly as possible, all students in Year 11 will need to clear their lockers before Friday 28th June 2019. Any items remaining after this date will be recycled, given to charity or disposed of.
Here at Q3 Academy Great Barr we believe that the emotional wellbeing of our students is as important as their physical health and want to support our students to become well-rounded adults with good health and resilience. To do this we recognise that the stigma around mental health needs to be broken down, changing attitudes to mental health could change somebody’s life.
The Albion Foundation will be hosting a wide range of activities at Q3 Academy Great Barr during the May Half Term Holiday.
Activities include everything from sports, dance and music to films, team building and beauty and will be delivered by fully DBS certified and First Aid trained Albion Foundation staff, from 9.45am until 3pm. Activities are free for young people aged 10-17 and are very popular, so to avoid disappointment please register to secure a place using the links below.
West Midlands Police have asked us to share the following statement in response to recent reports.
“We’re aware of reports in the West Midlands and nationally suggesting children from some schools are planning to take part in organised fights. We are speaking to schools locally and offering them support where necessary. We’d urge parents to speak to their children around their use of social media and other online platforms to ensure they are staying safe.”
West Midlands Police’s #LifeOrKnife website has further help and advice to support parents and carers having these conversations with their children.
Thank you for your continued support and vigilance in helping keep our community safe!
