Careers Speed Networking Event
Q3 Academies Trust in partnership with Black Country Chamber of Commerce are organising a careers speed networking event to raise aspirations and employability skills by showcasing as many occupations as possible to Year 9 students.
The event takes place on Monday 27th March 2017. The primary goal is to raise awareness of the skills, qualifications and potential routes into different careers.
Based on a “Speed Networking” concept, we are seeking employers who are passionate about their business to donate half a day of their time to talk to young people about working in their industry. Each business volunteer will have their own station and students will take turns to carousel around in small groups to find out more about different career paths and ask questions to gain an insight into the world of work.
The event will run as follows:
8.00am – Employers register/breakfast/opportunity for networking
8.30am – Presentations
9.00am – Employers set up
9.20am – Speed networking commences
11.30am – Optional slot (panel Q & A)
11.45am – Mr Mark Arnull, Head of School, closes event
12.00pm – VIP lunch for all Employers
Presentations from Dr Caroline Badyal – Chief Executive, Q3 Academies Trust, Mr Corin Crane – Chief Executive, BCCC and Mr Matt McCormack – ACE Director, Q3 Academy Great Barr.
