Following the announcement that Centre Assessed Grades will now be awarded to all A-Level students, we are awaiting guidance from the exam boards, and will contact students with formal confirmation of amended grades as soon as they are made available to us.

We know that it has been a really unsettling few months for students, since providers were closed to many and exams were cancelled. We are writing to reassure you about what has been put in place so students are able to move on to further study or employment, with results which carry the same value as any other year.

Dear Year 11 Students, On the morning of Thursday 20th August 2020, we will email you with: your GCSE results; and guidance about your next steps and the post-results support available from us.

We have today sent out details by email of the Tutor Group and Company allocations for our new Year 7 cohort; this is an important message as it also details your child’s start time on Wednesday 2nd September.

As we draw the academic year to an end I want to first thank, on behalf of staff and governors, all students and parents/carers for their hard-work and support during these extraordinary times. In many ways the reaction of the whole Academy community has been tremendous.

We have carefully considered the guidance issued by Sandwell Local Authority and the government to produce our plans for reopening in September, and would ask that you read this information very carefully. There is information specific to students’ first day in the Academy, followed by plans for the foreseeable future.

To help us plan for re-opening in September, and to make all the necessary adjustments to the site in order to meet the government’s expectations, we have decided to finish the on-site Year 10 subject mentoring sessions at the end of this week.

Student email access has now been restored following technical issues. However, the way in which students log on has changed slightly.
