Student Data: Language Request
Please ensure that the following questions are considered carefully to best advise us of your child’s language status. Did your child arrive to this country from another country where the first language is not English? Does your child speak a language other than English at home? Do you, or another parent/carer/community member, communicate with your child in a language other than English? If you answer yes to any of the above, please advise us that your child’s language is ‘Other than English’. If you answer no to all of the above, please advise us that your child’s language is ‘English’.
Results Update
We have been advised that there will be an update on this year’s examination results later today, and are closely monitoring the situation.

Staying Safe Online
While we are self-isolating and socially distancing due to Coronavirus, social media platforms, like Twitter, Snapchat, and video calls, are a great way to stay in touch with friends and family, share your thoughts and ideas and connect with like-minded people.
Coronavirus Update – Events
As a precaution to minimise public gathering and the number of visitors to the Academy, we have cancelled all events outside of lesson time until the Easter break in the first instance.
Albion Foundation at Q3 Academy Great Barr – Easter Activities
The Albion Foundation will be hosting a wide range of activities at Q3 Academy Great Barr during the Easter Holiday.
Parent and Carer Letter – Bus Update
Recently we were contacted by Diamond Buses to inform us that they intended to increase the bus fare to £85 per month and that this would be a ‘Closed Service’, in that they would only accept bus passes bought from Diamond Buses that could not be used on other Centro buses.
Revision Guides for Sale
Q3 Academy Great Barr would like to pass on the discount we receive for Revision Guides onto our students. Books are available from the DAC office and DAC staff are in over the holidays to allow students to purchase these books.
