Provision for Children of Key Workers/Vulnerable Students

Following recent government announcements we are reviewing the provision we have for vulnerable children or children of Key Workers. The Academy has been open to these groups since nationwide closures in March, and we are proud of the provision that has been in place for these children to provide space for them to complete their eLearning.

We understand that your circumstances may have now changed and that you may now wish for your child to attend the Academy (Monday – Friday, 9am – 3pm). With this in mind, we are now asking parents to indicate whether they need provision after half-term (from Monday 1st June 2020). Please note that proof of ‘Key Worker’ status would be required if you believe your child falls into this category. You can find a list of roles that fall under this category here.

If you now require access to our provision, please email us here indicating:

  • Your child’s full name and Year Group;
  • Your role as a key worker (or whether your child falls under the ‘vulnerable’ category);
  • The days you require provision in the Academy;
  • Whether lunch will be required on days in the Academy.

If your child has already been making use of the provision, there is no need to respond, and we will contact you separately to confirm days you require.

We ask that once a place has been booked, you ensure that your child does attend on those days. Whilst we are maintaining a thorough cleaning programme and working to ensure social distancing, we hope that you will support us in making sure that your child remains safe in the Academy by following all of our expectations during these challenging times.
