Update on Examinations from Mr Arnull
Important announcement for the Parents/Carers of students in Years 11 and 13.
I know that your child will be really disappointed by the government’s decision to not hold examinations in England. I realise this will be a real cause for concern, and when we know more about how the examination boards are going to recognise each child’s hard work and award a grade, I will share it with you.
We have spent some time today listening to the concerns of Year 11 and Year 13 students, and have given reassurance where we are able. However, there is still much we do not know.
I have taken the decision to close the Academy to Year 11 tomorrow to give us more time to work with the Local Authority to put into place the plans for meeting the needs of vulnerable students and the children of key workers.
We will of course share information regarding examinations with you and your child when it becomes available.
Mark Arnull
