Holocaust Memorial Day 2021

I am delighted to be able to inform you that to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2021, the Academy has arranged for all students in Years 9, 10, and Sixth Form to participate in a live-streamed event run by the Holocaust Educational Trust. During the event, students will hear the testimony of Holocaust survivor Eve Kugler BEM as she addresses the event. and will even have to opportunity to submit questions.

You may have seen the Prime Minister praise the Academy this week in the House of Commons for our involvement with this event (you can see the video here). The current situation allows for more students than normal to be directly involved and we are keen for as many to do so as possible.

The event will take place on Tuesday 26th January from 9.45am. Students will be invited to participate with this in place of their regular timetable for half of period 1 and all of period 2. Students will be sent details of how to access the event through their year group page on Google Classroom that is used to administrate assemblies.
