All Year 7 students were offered a nasal spray to protect against flu this winter. These have been administered today to students where consent has been provided by parents/carers, and where students were assessed well enough to receive it by the nurse.

We have been advised that there has been a confirmed single case of COVID-19 within Year 10.

The Academy will return as normal from the half-term break on Monday 2nd November, and providing your child remains well they may continue to attend as normal unless directed otherwise. We will keep this under review, and have already contacted any students and staff who have been in direct or close contact with the affected student.

As we draw to a close of an unusual and demanding start to the academic year, I do appreciate it has been an uncertain time for many students and families, especially as we moved into Tier 1 restrictions.
