Preloved Business Dress & Sports Kit

With the ongoing cost of living crisis, it is important we are more supportive of one another than ever before. As an Academy, we have begun to put measures in place to support our students and families at this time and we would like to foster the wider community spirit by creating a preloved Business Dress and Sports Kit store of items you may no longer need which can then be shared and redistributed within our community. As your children grow up it is likely you may have Academy clothing that is still in good condition but is too small for your child. We would like to give you the opportunity to ensure these items do not go to waste and can be reused.

Additionally, we believe that recycling Business Dress is also important in supporting wider environmental concerns that we as an Academy want to play a part in addressing.
 
Finally, we want our students to appreciate the value of recycling and reusing things and to challenge the negative connotations that can be attached to items labelled as ‘second hand’, hence the name ‘preloved’. 
 
Before we can launch this store, we will need to build up a stock of Business Dress and Sports Kit, we can then redistribute for those who may need it. Therefore, at this stage, we are asking for you to send in any Business Dress items that you no longer require, assuming they are in a reusable condition. Students can simply hand any preloved items into their Personal Tutors during Tutor Time each morning.
 
Once we then have relevant stock, we aim to launch the store with more details to follow in the upcoming term. This will be a free service and I think it is important to share that we also do not intend to have any criteria for families applying to use it. At this time, we believe there are lots of people who may need a helping hand, and want to allow everyone the opportunity to access it.
