RSHE Information Evening

As you may be aware, the new statuary framework for RSHE is now in place across all schools and academies in England. In order to support your understanding of what is delivered in each Year Group, I am pleased to be able to invite you to our optional information evening on Monday 8th November 2021.

  • Years 7 and 8 – 5:30pm
  • Years 9 and 10 – 6:15pm
  • Years 11, 12 and 13 – 7:00pm

Presentations will take place in the Performance Theatre. We will be joined by Emily Morgan, PSHE Advisor for Sandwell Local Authority, who will be explaining key reasons for the delivery of RSHE within secondary education. We do not require parents/carers to book places for the event. If you have children in different Year Groups, you do not need to attend more than one session.

In advance of the meeting, you can view our Policy for RSHE on our website here. This policy also provides details of Department for Education policies, and our legal requirement to provide RSHE.

After the event, we will be asking all parents/carers and students for feedback about our provision of RSHE, as part of our Wellbeing: Inspire (PSHE) programme, through an online questionnaire.

For the safety of everyone, we ask that only one parent/carer attends per student and that face-coverings are worn throughout your visit. To be consistent with other Sandwell institutions, we ask that students do not attend the event.
