There will also be mocks for most option subjects, and these will take place in class. Students should attend the Academy at the usual times, and will be in normal lessons when exams are not taking place.

It is essential that your child brings their full equipment every day, including a scientific calculator. We would really appreciate your support in checking their bag every morning to set them up for success.

We will use mock results to update you on your child’s predicted grades. You will receive an Interim Report at the beginning of the spring term, and will be able to discuss this with teaching staff at our virtual Parent Consultation Evening on Monday 10th January. You will get an email later this week to start making bookings.

The current government intention is for exams to go ahead in the summer. A contingency plan has not yet been published, but if exams don’t go ahead for any reason then it’s possible we might return to Teacher Assessed Grades. In this eventuality, the November and February/March mocks may contribute to students’ evidence towards their grades.

We look forward to seeing many of you at our Sixth Form Open Evening on Monday 15th November; if you haven’t yet booked to attend, you can do so here.
