Year 13 – Key Information
This is a quick update with some key information and dates for Year 13 students and their parents/carers.
Advance Information
As you may be aware, the exam boards have released Advance Information for most A-Level subjects. These checklists are useful for revision and have been shared with students in lessons and posted on Google Classroom.
Summer Examinations
In due course, we will share each student’s examination timetable. Students need to check dates and times carefully. Students need to ensure that they arrive at the Academy at least 30 minutes before the exam starts.
Contingency Day
All Year 13 students across the country are required to remain available to attend their examination centre up to and including the JCQ ‘Contingency Day’ on 29th June 2022. This is set by JCQ in case any exams need to be rescheduled by the exam boards.
Results Day
A-Level Results Day will be on Thursday 18th August 2022. The presentation slides to support students with Clearing and Adjustment from our Parent/Carer UCAS Evening delivered on 7th March 2022 have been posted on Google Classroom.
Year 13 Leavers’ Assembly/Examination Leave
The leavers’ assembly for our Year 13 students will take place on Friday 20th May 2022. There will be an opportunity for shirt/book signing and we expect to finish around 11.00am. Following the assembly, students will sign out and commence their examination leave. After this date, students will be expected to attend the Academy for revision sessions and examinations. Business Dress will need to be worn at all times. Our pastoral team will continue to provide support and students will be welcome to contact Personal Tutors via email in the first instance.
When your child has taken their last examination, they will need to ensure that their laptop and any books that have been provided by the Academy are returned.
