Year 11 Virtual Event
Year 11 students will today be receiving an important letter about a virtual event for your child and for you as parents/carers. This is an important year for your child, as they are preparing for challenging GCSE exams and starting to make key decisions about their future education and career.
The virtual Year 11 information evening will take place on Monday 19th October at 6:30pm. We anticipate that it will last about an hour. This event will be packed with lots of information specifically for parents and carers of Year 11 students, including:
- A timeline of key events in the year;
- How to apply for Post-16 options, including Sixth Form, colleges, and apprenticeships;
- Guidance on study planning and revision;
- Managing stress and accessing support;
- Live Q&A.
This will be run as a YouTube livestream, and you will be able to join on any compatible device by coming to this webpage on Monday 19th October at 6:30pm. Due to Coronavirus restrictions, it is not possible to attend in person, so please do not come in to the Academy.
Please complete and return the reply slip on the letter to your child’s Personal Tutor.
