Rewards Days Trips Update
This information applies to students in Years 8, 9, 10, 11, and 13 only, as an update to trips postponed in the last academic year. This information is not relevant to students in Years 7 and 12 who do not have an outstanding booking.
We have further liaised and consulted with our Student Voice representatives regarding the outstanding visits to Alton Towers and Barmouth Beach. Whilst we were hoping to offer these visits during the spring term, a combination of issues with transport availability and poor weather forecasts made this difficult. Therefore, we are going to roll over the outstanding trip from the last academic year into our Rewards Days offerings for this year. This means that we will offer an additional day of activities as part of this year’s Rewards Days plan which we’ll be launching in the next few weeks.
Our Student Voice representatives also shared concerns from students who no longer wanted to take part in the trip they signed up for last year, or who wanted to swap their choice. In response to this, we have refunded all payments made towards trips that did not take place. These refunds will appear in your ParentPay account within in the next 7 working days. You can then withdraw the funds back to your payment card/bank account, or keep the funds as a credit in your ParentPay account which you can then use towards the trips and activities offered for this year’s Rewards Days.
We appreciate that students in Years 11 and 13 finish the academic year earlier owing to examinations. Should they wish to return to take part in the Rewards Day rolled over in to this year’s offering, they are more than welcome. However, we understand that many will prefer to withdraw the funds to arrange their own visit or activities within their friendship groups during term time once examinations are over.
An exciting plan of Reward Days’ activities and trips for this academic year will be launched in the next few weeks, so please encourage your child to continue to be ready, respectful, and responsible in order to get as many Q-Points as possible; the more Q-Points they have, the more that’s on offer!
