Unfortunately, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, we have made the decision not to carry out external Work Experience with our Year 10 students this year. Many companies have contacted us to say that due to the current climate, they will be unable to offer placements this summer.
We understand that this will be disappointing news for students and parents/carers. However, we are pleased to be able to provide opportunities for virtual Work Experience and encourage every student in Year 10 to apply and broaden their understanding of the world of work. By following this link, you will be able to explore a broad range of opportunities on offer and complete your application form. Early application is recommended as places with top companies and the NHS will go quickly!
Later in the Academic year, we will be providing a ‘Careers Focus Week’ for Year 10 where students will be given the chance to build employability skills, including: interviews, CVs, job applications, and transferable skills. More information will follow about this in due course.
If you have any queries with regards to careers education or you would like to know about potential Post-16 options for your child, please contact Mrs Meredith, at the Academy here.
