Preloved Business Dress & Sports Kit

With the ongoing cost of living crisis, it is important we are more supportive of one another than ever before. As an Academy, we have begun to put measures in place to support our students and families at this time and we would like to foster the wider community spirit by creating a preloved Business Dress and Sports Kit store of items you may no longer need which can then be shared and redistributed within our community.

Support for Parents/Carers – Anxiety and Stress

Yesterday we reflected on World Mental Health Day in the Academy. In light of this, and the upcoming National Stress Awareness Day on 2nd November, we are sharing a free Parents’ Guide to Teenage Anxiety and Stress provided generously through the organisation ‘The Parents’ Guide to’. You can download your copy of this helpful resource here.

RSE Support for Parents/Carers

We encourage parents and carers to consider how they can support RSE at home, and proudly promote online sessions through Brook to support. These sessions aim to provide parents/carers with the confidence and skills to discuss healthy relationships with their children, and to support the mandatory RSE curriculum that students will be learning in their Wellbeing Inspire lessons. In addition, some sessions will focus on supporting young people with emotional wellbeing.

Queen Elizabeth II – A Message from our CEO

We join the nation in mourning and express our deepest sympathies following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her dedication to our country, her other realms and territories, and the Commonwealth is unparalleled and we thank her for her service.

Queen Elizabeth II

We are deeply saddened by the news that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away. Tomorrow, we will recognise this sombre, significant moment for our country with the dignity that it deserves, and give our students an opportunity to reflect and pay tribute to a truly extraordinary monarch.

Dressed for Success – Wednesday

It is anticipated that the temperature will drop substantially overnight. Therefore, students must attend the Academy in normal Business Dress on Wednesday 20th July and for the remainder of this week, but are permitted to leave their blazer at home (this also applies to Sixth Form students). We encourage students to continue to bring a bottle of water to remain hydrated, and to wear sunscreen. CCF Cadets should attend the Academy in their CCF Uniform on Wednesday as normal, but may remove their overshirt.
